The sword kind of acted like goblins were such a tasty treat because they taught him so much. Makes sense that a God was the cause of the goblins being such a yummy treat and insatiable to want to kill. LoL. As for the God of Chaos they don't seem to be a bad god. Also without such a God maybe races would be annihilated by the creatures like Goblins.

Maybe a lot of fantasy genres one way or another even when it's not anime. Example Lord of the Rings Sauron corrupts elves to have an army of orcs. Dragonlance Novels the evil goddess creates an evil lizard race that turn to stone when they die and do the goddess' bidding then there's Paladin of the End where the Evil god makes an army of undead that he'd control to do his bidding. I'd say it's most likely just a common fantasy genre troupe so it's highly likely you did.

I think the huge ass sword in this scenario is no problem cuz he can literally cast tons of spell, if there's no space then they will just burn.. to fire spells continuously and he can also protect her with wind magic and earth magic so basically doesn't even need to actually use the sword to slash anything
